about me
Shannon Greenwalt
With over 28 years of experience in public education, I am passionate about helping students overcome reading challenges and achieve academic success. I am a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist in Texas and a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) through the Academic Language Therapy Association (ALTA).
My background includes 23 years as a classroom teacher and 5 years as a dyslexia interventionist. This combination of experience gives me a deep understanding of both instructional strategies and the unique needs of students with dyslexia.
I am trained in a variety of evidence-based dyslexia intervention programs, including:
- Take Flight
- Build
- Jet
- Reading by Design
- UFLI (University of Florida Literacy Institute Foundations)
I strive to provide compassionate, research-based instruction that empowers struggling readers and supports families navigating the world of dyslexia.
If you’re interested in one-on-one therapy with a CALT or have questions about dyslexia and available services, please feel free to reach out. I would be happy to help.
